Excellent another great interview, really enjoyed Dr Steen smashing through the SE2KB portcullis to deliver comments for the Cryptozoo. Also since it was asked Brian Cranston got more screen time that Godzilla in the recent movie. In fact if you just want to see Godzilla here is the entire eight minutes he was visible in the movie http://io9.com/godzilla-was-only-in-8-minutes-of-godzilla-and-here-the-1633012946.

Just on flying murder tube bites:

Quoting info from: http://stjohn.org.au/first-aid-facts http://stjohn.org.au/assets/uploads/fact%20sheets/english/FS_snakebite.pdf

First: DO NOT wash venom off the skin. DO NOT cut the bitten area. DO NOT try to suck venom out of wound. DO NOT use a tourniquet. DO NOT try to catch the snake.

What to do [...] 4. Apply a pressure bandage (heavy crepe or elasticised roller bandage) starting just above the fingers or toes of the bitten limb, and move upwards on the limb as far as can be reached (include the snake bite). Apply firmly without stopping blood supply to the limb. 5. Immobilise the bandaged limb with splints. 6. Ensure the patient does not move. [...]

There's probably an app, too. :)

I heard of a guy who got bitten by a brown snake with no one else around. He put a pressure bandage on and lay still for 16 hours while the venom broke down in his body.

If he'd trying to make it to a hospital he would have died.

Also, Video of the flying snake. Terror! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMs8Cu8PNKM
